Lakeside Trout & Course Fishery

Description - The Fishing Lodge at Patshull Park and the 75 acres of lakes provide a superb amenity for fishermen, offering a choice of trout, coarse or pike fishing depending on the season. Trout fishing commences in the first week of March when the Great Lake is stocked with rainbow and golden trout up to 10lb in weight, to augment the resident head of the native brown trout. The Bridge Pool is open to anglers throughout the year and has an enormous head of fish, while the Church and Lady Barbara Pools are available to carp and coarse fishing syndicate members only. Several forms of membership are available, day anglers are welcome, and Patshull Park also holds a number of open competitions throughout the year. Boats and equipment can be hired, beginners are welcome and tuition is available. A fishing day at Patshull Park is an ideal corporate event.
Fly information - Damsel, Montana, and Cat's Whisker, Daddy longlegs - goldhead and dry.

Description - Man made reservoir with bailiff on site, set amidst farmland. Clear water is up to 10 meters deep in places. Stocked weekly with quality fish. Good car parking close to the water, easy road access from A600 6 miles south of Bedford.
Fly information - Natural flies include various hatches of Damsel, Buzzers and Hawthorn in the spring while terrestrials such as Daddies fall later in the year. Recommend using Damsel, Cat's Whisker, and Tadpole.
